News updates:

The status of the restaurant: Currently there is a dispute between the current manager of the restaurant and the City. Due to a non-disclosure clause everything is on hold at the present time.

New Signs: Thanks to hard work by Laura Hone of the Polson Golf Board, we have a new sign above the golf shop and one by the driving range. We also have one that will be placed in the triangle, just west of the ‘old Nine” #1 blue tee area. It was going to go up in mid April but the situation has changed.  Karen Sargent, of the parks department, has excess fill dirt that she needs to dispose of and Pat Nowlen wants to use it to elevate the triangle area with that dirt and install the new Polson Bay Golf Course sign there at a slightly higher elevation. One of the major projects I hope the PGA can facilitate will be to generate approximately $1000 to buy irrigation pipe for the canal just in front of the #1 blue tee area and behind the #9 green. If we can come up with the money, the Tribe has agreed to cover the canal. I’m going to need some help with this, so if you have any thoughts please contact me.

Keep checking back to the website as I’m going to try to keep a running information center where you can find out what’s happening at your golf course. Some examples will include when the course will be closed for tournaments and when the greens will be sanded. I’m also a member of the Polson City Golf Board so I will relay some of their information too.  The Polson Golf Association is in need of volunteers to serve on the board of directors. Please feel free to contact me if you have some time to dedicate to a worthy cause.  Thanks for your support.
